Menu for the Future was a project for Sustainable Cleveland 2019's Celebration Year for Local Food. Though the project is over, Menu for the Future can still be used as a way to promote real face-to-face sharing of ideas with neighbors, coworkers, community members, and friends. Menu for the Future is a six-week discussion course which explores our food system and provides insight into agricultural practices that promote personal and ecological well-being. Menu for the Future discussion groups use a course book published by the Northwest Earth Institute. The book provides timely readings and thought-provoking discussion questions. You can borrow a book for free or purchase your own for $20.
There are also a number of films about food that can be shown to community groups to inspire learning and discussion. Find the list of films on the Food Films tab.
